Ever write out a travel plan in a notes app and then never open it again on the trip?

Why a long block of travel-plan text tends to go unread once you're actually traveling, and what changes when it's organized into a day-by-day timeline automatically.

An open planner with colorful day tabs sticking out, next to a paper airplane and a ticket

A lot of people write out their travel plans in detail in a notes app before a trip. But once you're actually there, you end up opening that note far less than you'd expect. Digging through a long block of text to find exactly where today's plan starts and ends is, itself, a hassle.

You plan carefully, but rarely open it once you're traveling

A travel-plan note usually looks something like this: "Day 1: arrive at the airport, check into the hotel, dinner nearby. Day 2: museum, browse the market, a night-view spot..." When each day runs together as one continuous block of text like that, checking "what did I plan for today" mid-trip means a lot of scrolling. You put real effort into the plan, and then barely use it once you're there — that's the gap.

Splitting it by day makes it easy to open just today's part

When a note includes a phrase that marks off separate days — "Day 1", "Day 2" — Pilofy recognizes it and organizes the note into a timeline split by day. Instead of reading through the whole block of text, you can open just today's section and check it right away.

If the note's title or content clearly contains the word "travel," it's automatically organized as a travel timeline; in ambiguous cases, a "looks like a trip" badge appears and you confirm it yourself before it applies. Since it won't split days on its own without a basis for it, including day markers like Day 1 and Day 2 is the trick to getting it recognized accurately.

The effort of planning stays the same, but opening that plan again mid-trip becomes a lot easier.
